支持全人关怀路
Support histeam's journey in caring mission
一个呼召临到黄恩德牧师，要动员教会，尤其是华语源流的教会从事关怀社会中的弱势群体。那时（现在仍是），有两件不争的事实：一是关怀事工极度缺乏人手；二是正在服事中的关怀同工极度疲乏无助。而另一方面，亦看到两种教会的需要：一是“有异象、有钱、有人，却不懂如何做？”；另一是“有钱、有人、没有异象，更不懂如何做？”的教会。于是，就想要透过服事两个群体来应付上述的两个事实和需要：一是教会的志工新手，透过培训装备动员(基于圣经)；二是在职的关怀同工，透过退修继续上路(倚靠圣灵)。
A divine call came upon Rev. Andrew Wong to mobilize churches, especially the Chinese speaking ones, to rise up and to care for the underprivileged communities in the society. At that time (and even now), there were two undeniable facts: Firstly, there is always insufficient workers in the caring ministry; and secondly, existing caregivers are extremely exhausted and helpless. At the same time, we also noticed, churches are in need of two kinds of support: for churches that have vision, money and people, they do not know how and what to do? The other is, churches having money and people, but don’t have vision and don’t know how to do? Under such circumstances, we realized our mission is to serve these 2 groups of people, to help and support them to overcome their predicament. Through education, awareness and training ( biblical ), we could help the churches to equip, mobilise and raise more new volunteers to serve. Secondly, through retreat (empowerment of the Holy Spirit), the existing caregivers can be recharged and encouraged to continue their journey to serve.
进入第一年，有两项重点事工。一是灾难回应的培训，二是第一届的关怀同工退修营。
2009年，策划第一次的社会关怀醒觉巡回讲座，带着督导拿督丹尼申（Datuk DrDenison Jayasooria）及其夫人Rose，在槟城、实兆远、八打灵，透过公开讲座及工作坊，以“爱邻舍的诫命”为主题，传递基督徒与社会责任的信息。
这一年，灾难仍频传。我们为四川赈灾的后续发动“传爱到四川”灾后重建短期服务，差派3批共6人的志工，接力式前往三个月，为要向前线服事的团队学习。
当传爱到四川的第二批志工在6月回来后，当我们在祷告及规划本土长远、艰难的教会动员模式时，8月在台湾就发生了莫拉克风灾。这事件是全人的其中一个转捩点。因为当我们顺服圣灵的感动回应时，祂让我们连结上中华基督教救助协会，并见识了1919服务网络的“威力”，连结众教会的力量应付天灾带来的破坏及伤害。

Entered into our first year, we were focused on two major ministries, ie; providing training on disaster response, and organised caregivers’ retreat.
We had our first Awareness Seminars cum Roadshow in 2009, taking with us, our speakers Datuk Dr. Denison Jayasooria and his wife Datin Rose to Penang, Setiawan and Petaling Jaya. The theme was “Love your neighbour as you are commanded”. Through public seminars and workshops, we diligently spread the message of social responsibilities to Christians and churches.
During that particular year, disasters occurred rampantly. We responded to Sichuan Earthquake, by sending a post Disaster Rebuilding team with a mission to “Send Love to Sichuan”. Six(6) volunteers were grouped in 3 batches, were sent to Sichuan, each group was serving a period of 3 months there, as well as learning from the frontline care-workers.
When the second batch of volunteers returned from Sichuan in June, we were still in the midst of praying and seeking guidance from our Lord for our long-term ministry plan and mobilization model. In August, The Morakot Typhoon hit Taiwan and this critical incident turned out to be a turning point for HISTEAM, as we submitted to the leading of Holy Spirit and responded to the Typhoon disaster. God connected us to the Taiwan Chinese Christians Relief Association (CCRA), as we witnessed how “powerful” was their “1919 Services Network”, whereby they could effectively manage and unite many churches, to provide support and relief operations for victims that suffer damages and harm brought by the natural disaster.

华人教会在大马设立超过百年，没有太多教会认真回应主交付的大诫命，仍有许多基督徒不知如何介入他人的患难，愿意投身关怀宣教的肢体不知何去何从。因此，我们极需一个为华语源流教会预备的社会关怀课程。
于2013年3月5日，马来西亚圣经神学院与全人关怀团队签署合作备忘录，共同推介、教授与管理“社会关怀证书课程”。该课程只需两年（4个学期），每学期2周的密集上课，修完共21个学分。

Although Chinese speaking churches have been established more than 100 years in Malaysia, yet many are not willing to respond to the call of Great Commandment, many Christians are still at a lost on how to intervene and support those who are in crisis, while, those who are willing to serve in caring ministry have no idea how to proceed.
Therefore, we are in great need of having a social care programme for the Chinese speaking churches. Henceforth, on 5th March, 2013, together with Malaysia Bible Seminary, HISTEAM signed a MOU, to jointly promote, teach and manage the “Social Concern Certificate Course”. This course requires student to complete 4 semesters over a period of 2 years, each semester covers 2-weeks of intensive classes, with a total of 21 credits.

2012年9月，全人偕同海外督导刘达芳博士巡回沙巴及砂拉越4座城市宣讲无墙教会的信息。在讲座上，刘达芳博士率领会众，顺从圣灵的催逼，进行一个先知性修复关系的动作，就是要求东西马领袖之间彼此认罪。
当我们顺服圣灵时，神赐给我们四个字：“向东服务”——神呼吁全人走向半岛的东海岸及东马的沙巴、砂拉越。我们用了两年的时间祷告等候及考察沙巴许多服侍前线的土著与难民事工，“向东服务”的异象也更为清晰了。进入2014年，神带领我们认识了沙巴SIB教会所设立的乡区学前教育事工。他们的使命是坚固孩童信仰，且让他们不输在教育领域的起跑点。

September of 2012, HISTEAM organised another roadshow, together with overseas mentor Dr. Agnes Liu, toured 4 major towns in Sabah and Sarawak sharing the message of Church without walls. During the seminars, Dr. Agnes Liu led the congregation in submitting to the Holy Spirit’s prompting, and carried out a prophetic act of reconciliation, restoring relationship between West and East Malaysia, demanded the leaders to confess sins to each other.
When we submitted to Him, He gave us 3 words “Serve the East” – God called us to serve the people on East Coast of Peninsular, Sabah and Sarawak of East Malaysia. After two years of praying, waiting and surveying the many indigenous and refugee ministries serving on the front lines in Sabah, the vision of “Serve the East” became clearer. Entering into year 2014, God led us to Sabah SIB rural pre-school ministry. Their mission was to strengthen the Christian faith in children, and to give opportunity to indigenous children to be educated at an early stage just as the urban children.

这几年，当我们顺服地走向沙巴，神就为我们开路，也回应了我们所求的三个印证，而这个梦也越来越清晰。原来神要我们走向马来西亚最大的基督徒群体——原住民。我们发现，庄稼已熟透，但禾场到处都缺乏工人，许多原住民教会极度缺乏牧养与关顾。
Throughout these few years, when we submissively moved into Sabah, God opened ways for us and revealed the 3 affirmations that we asked for, and the dream finally became crystal clear. It turned out that God’s plan is for us to reach out to the indigenous groups- The largest Christian group in Malaysia. We also discovered that the harvest was ready, but the field was seriously lacking of workers, and many indigenous churches are extremely lacking in pastors and care.
弥迦学院的使命就是要装备教会年轻的一代，成为基督的手脚，在本土或海外，向弱势群体行公义与好怜悯。我们希望透过有系统和扎实的门徒装备，能让年轻人准备好跨文化服事，并期盼他们能领受神的呼召，最终决定长期参与关怀宣教，服侍上帝的国和建立更多门徒，荣耀上帝的名。
The mission of Micah Centre is to equip younger generation of churches to be the hands and feet of Christ, to do justice and be compassionate towards underprivileged group locally or overseas. With systematic and solid discipleship programs, we aspire to equip our young people for cross-cultural services, hoping that they will heed God’s call, and finally yield themselves to long term caring missions, serving the kingdoms of God and continue to build more disciples for the glory of our God.

HISTEAM enters its 16th year in 2023…
For HISTEAM to be sustainable in their caring mission ministry, and to be in partnership with more Chinese speaking churches to practice Micah 6:8 in the community, we strongly need your support!
HISTEAM has launched the "Support HISTEAM's Caring Mission” since 2022. This is a movement aiming to honour the contribution of social workers, and to raise funds to support our administration expenses and co-workers’ salaries. The funding goal for this year is RM500,000, we look forward to have you embark on this “HISTEAM's Caring Mission”. Through your monetary offering, we shall testify how Malaysian Christians are shining as lights and salt, loving their neighbours in their respective communities.
