Our church became partner of HISTEAM 2 years ago, we started our new journey of ministering, that is community caring. Community caring is completely a new thing to our church. Through Rev. Andrew Wong’s mission sharing, and his co-workers ministry sharing, we gradually understand the concept of social caring and its practicality. Hence, awakened our passion towards community caring and mission, this awakening has ignited our church commitment towards caring mission.

Community caring has widened our church’s ministry frontier, it quickly stirred up more brothers and sisters to involve in community services. This resulted in the church becoming a robust energetic lively environment. Thank God that our church has taken the initiative that enables us to walk out of its four walls into the underprivileged community, realizing the Great Commandment of loving God and loving others and thus winning souls for Christ.

7979 Holistic Care Relief Network is a vessel that God raised up in this era, it has followed God’s teaching, opened up community caring ministries, and blessed many underprivileged groups while awakening many churches to get involved in caring mission.

Teacher Loy shared ministering reflection

Teacher Loy is a primary school teacher, she often sees how vulnerable are underprivileged children, they are lost and helpless. Teacher Loy felt so helpless as she was unable to do anything to improve their condition.
When her church became one of HISTEAM’s partners and started companionship class, without hesitation Teacher Loy joined this ministry. Other than her post as companionship class teacher, she is also the chief person in charge of this ministry. In the midst of ministering, they encountered many problems, it could be her personal problem or other co-workers lacking, Teacher Loy still fought the battle humbly together with her church leaders, and persevered until the end for the benefit of underprivileged children. Thank God for His protection, the companionship class has formed and become renowned in their community. At the moment, the companionship class has 2 fulltime teachers and 5 volunteers involved in this ministry. Due to companionship class ministry, Teacher Loy became a stronger person, more other-centre and caring, thus becoming a true blessing to the children. Lastly, thank God for raising HISTEAM to be a blessing to churches and communities. |
